Light Weapons
We try use padded weapons that feel and behave, to some degree, like actual swords. To that goal, weapons that are too light are discouraged slightly, by adding 2 to their Weapon Point cost. Lighter swords require greater skill to use effectively, and this rule reflects that fact.
A weapon is considered a light weapon if it is more than 30 inches long and meets any of the following criteria:
1) It weighs less than 1 ounce per 3 inches of length.
OR
2) The balance point is less than one-third of the distance from the butt of the pommel to the tip of the blade.
